Aastra ViPr 4000 desktop

The AastraVipr 4000 personal desktop terminal is an endpoint for executive offices that combines the most popular features (hold, transfer, speed dial, call forwarding, call forwarding) of an office telephone with real-time, face-to-face video for a true virtual presence experience. The 4000 Series Personal ViPr System has a 17-inch (diagonal) touchscreen with graphical user interface displays full-motion, full-color video with 1280x768 (16:9) resolution and a wide viewing angle. Video and audio peripherals are included with this series. To save desktop space, the screen may also function as a PC monitor or the ViPr™ can access a remote PC using Remote Desktop. Video: Displays up to 15 remote-party conference participants in a potential 100-way conference. Participants rendered at 30 frames per second of VGA image resolution. Low-delay (<100 ms) H.264 encoding with H.261 and H.263 compatibility options. Aastra ViPr 4400 desktop Plus

The AastraVipr 4400 personal desktop terminal (+ ViPr Virtual Share collaboration package + extended I/O) is an endpoint for executive offices that combines the most popular features (hold, transfer, speed dial, call forwarding, call forwarding) of an office telephone with real-time, face-to-face video for a true virtual presence experience. The 4400 Series Personal ViPr System has all of the features of the 4000 but it has the addition of a collaboration package. This package includes AppShare, DocSharing, and VideoShare. Users with ViPr appShare can automatically launch Microsoft NetMeeting or Microsoft Office Live Meeting, real-time conferencing and collaboration applications that allow conferees to transfer files, conduct whiteboard sessions, text message, and more during a ViPr conference. With ViPr docShare, a ViPr user can directly connect a ViPr endpoint with a PC to share PowerPoint presentations, Microsoft Word documents, digital pictures, and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with other ViPr conferees. VideoShare allows you to stream video (live broadcast feeds, pre-recorded video feeds, live and pre-recorded security and surveillance video, PC generated presentations) but only in conjunction with the ViPr Media Server.

Aastra ViPr 5400 Rack Mount system

The Aastra ViPr 5000 Series System (VMC5400 Rack-mount terminal + ViPr Virtual Share collaboration package + extended I/O) is the industry’s most advanced rack-mounted, conference room-based video device; the standards-based Aastra ViPr™ integrates real-time communications with built-in conferencing and presentation tools. The ViPr 5000 Series is a rack mountable codec-only box. Designed for high quality video conferencing in a meeting room environment. Displays video on a plasma screen or overhead projector and also needs external camera and microphone. Built-in conferencing and presentation capabilities make it easy to connect, disconnect, and interact with callers. Ad-hoc conferencing capabilities for up to a 100-way conference call (no multi-conference unit [MCU] required). Video features: Individual placement of call participants to suit viewing preferences. 30 frames per second of 640x480 video resolution. Enhanced conference modes to display video participants in multiple views. Concurrent “view call” windows and streaming video. View collaboration on the ViPr™ screen while participating in active calls. Video inputs: Support for dual display with PC video pass-through, S-Video– Four S-Video inputs, 1 extended graphics array (XGA) input (PC input); 1024x768, 60 Hz. Video outputs: 1 wide extended graphics array (WXGA) output; 1280x768, 60 Hz (HD15), 1 extended graphics array (XGA) output; 1024x768, 60 Hz (HD15).

Aastra ViPr 6400 Table Mount system

The Aastra ViPr 6000 Series System (VMC6400 Table-mount terminal + ViPr Virtual Share collaboration package + extended I/O) is the industry’s most advanced table-mounted, conference room-based video device; the Aastra ViPr™ integrates real-time communications with built-in conferencing and presentation tools. The ViPr 6000 Series is a table-mounted terminal with the ViPr Virtual Share collaboration package. It is designed for high quality video conferencing in a meeting room environment. Displays video on a plasma screen or overhead projector. Same touch screen and user interface as the 4000 level ViPr but without audio/video peripherals. A microphone and camera are needed because it is meant for designing a room setup around the ViPr for group conferencing. On-demand conference capabilities. No MCU required. Conferences up to 100 participants. Stereo audio allows for talk-over capabilities. Ad-hoc conferencing capabilities for up to a 100-way conference call (no multi-conference unit [MCU] required). Video images are not cropped, providing full conference room views. H.264, Session Initiation Protocol- (SIP-) based device provides full H.32x interoperability.

Aastra ViPr Video/Media Server

The Aastra ViPr Media Servers (VMS1000) provide the ViPr system with fully integrated broadcast video. The VMS1000 encodes video using H.264, allowing for better quality at lower bandwidths. Video channels can be viewed on any ViPr endpoint regardless of the video source, though an individual user’s access level will be dictated by the permission levels granted by the system administrator. Each ViPr endpoint can display a combination of conference participants and full-motion video feeds, or up to three simultaneous video feeds when not in a conference. ViPr viewing options include the following: Live broadcast video feeds, such as Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC; Prerecorded video feeds, including DVD and VCR; Live and prerecorded security and surveillance video; PC-generated presentations, documents, and spreadsheets. Video sources can originate from a central location or from multiple locations.

Aastra ViPr Media Interface

The Aastra ViPr Media Interface (VMI) provides additional flexibility for the ViPr solution. It provides encoding and decoding capabilities for applications such as video recording, panel conferences, and corporate-wide broadcasts. The VMI user interface is optimized for specific applications. For example, when using the VMI for recording purposes, conference participants will receive a text notification that the conference is being recorded. The VMI can also be configured to allow ViPr users to passively monitor a meeting or call. Passive conference participants have the ability to dial into the conference as active participants, if desired, to provide comments or take part in the conversation.

Aastra ViPr HA Aplication Server

The Aastra ViPr Application Server, the ViPr “command center,” uses Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to establish, modify, and clear multiple-stream multimedia sessions. The server is also the central storage device for users’ terminal settings and address books, which allows users to access their preferences from any ViPr endpoint. With the High-Availability version 200 users can log in to the system at the same time.

Aastra ViPr Unicast Audio Mixer

The Aastra Unicast Audio Mixer enables seamless conferencing functionality between ViPr endpoints and telephone users. ViPr conference participants enjoy an unprecedented audio and video experience. With the ViPr Unicast Audio Mixer, non-ViPr, voiceonly callers (those using traditional POTS/PSTN phones, mobile phones, or SIP phones) can also participate in point-to-point or multipoint ViPr conferences.

Aastra ViPr SIP to H323 Gateway

The Aastra ViPr™ SIP<->H.323 Gateway supports seamless interoperability with H.323-based video conferencing systems, including H.323 endpoints, multipoint conferencing units (MCUs), and gateways. The SIP<->H.323 Signaling Gateway supports audio calls, video calls, and T.120-based collaboration sessions. The SIP<->H.323 functionality is also available as a separately licensed service on the ViPr™ Application Server. To protect customer investments in legacy video conferencing technology, SIP<->H.323 allows the ViPr™ system to interoperate with legacy H.323 (IP) systems systems.
